Huy Nguyen

Huy Nguyen has extensive experience in environmental protection and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management, currently serving as the Manager of the Department of Environmental Protection at PETROVIETNAM since May 2013, where responsibilities include ESG implementation, climate change mitigation, and reporting. Previous roles involved developing HSE guidelines for oil and gas activities, conducting audits across various subsidiaries, and ensuring environmental compliance. Huy Nguyen's career began at the R&D Center for Petroleum Safety and Environment, focusing on environmental consulting and impact assessments, further complemented by academic experience as a Research Assistant at The University of Missouri. Huy Nguyen holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, an MSc in Environmental Engineering and Project Management from the University of Leeds, and a BSc in Chemistry from Hanoi University of Sciences.
