Erik Lontok

Erik Lontok is a dedicated professional in the biomedical field, currently serving as a Senior Program Director at the Coalition for Aligning Science. Erik has extensive experience in diverse areas including human immunodeficiency virus, hepatitis C, and various rare diseases, and has held significant roles such as Chief Science Officer at the Lipedema Foundation and Director of Research at the Barth Syndrome Foundation. Erik is also actively involved as a board member for the PFIC Network and a rare disease research mentor with FasterCures and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Erik earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University.
