Debjit Biswas

Debjit Biswas has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Debjit has held various leadership positions in well-known companies such as Pfizer, Ablynx, Piramal Enterprises Limited, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Debjit'sroles have included overseeing clinical development activities, managing biometrics resources and deliverables, and providing strategic input for development strategies and project plans. Additionally, Debjit has served as the President of the Indian Association for Statistics in Clinical Trials. Debjit has a strong background in biostatistics and has contributed to the filing and approval of medications for the treatment of various conditions. Prior to their industry experience, Debjit worked as a Research Scientist at GE Global Research and held academic positions at the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Debjit Biswas completed their education in a chronological manner. Debjit first attended South Point High School in Kolkata from 1977 to 1989, where they completed their Higher Secondary education in the field of Science. Following this, they enrolled at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata from 1989 to 1994, obtaining both a B.Stat. and M.Stat. degree in Statistics. Lastly, they pursued a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Michigan, where they attended from 1994 to 1999.
