Following this, they enrolled at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata from 1989 to 1994, obtaining both a B.Stat. and M.Stat. degree in Statistics. Lastly, they pursued a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Michigan, where they attended from 1994 to 1999.
