Dr. Martin Schulz

Global Medical Team Lead Sickle Cell Disease

Dr. Martin Schulz is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in hematology and related fields, currently serving as the Global Medical Team Lead for Sickle Cell Disease at Pfizer since February 2009. Dr. Schulz has held several senior leadership roles within the organization, including Global Sr. Medical Director for both Hematology and Gene Therapy Platforms, and has led initiatives for the development and execution of medical strategies in Europe and developed Asia-Pacific regions. Prior to joining Pfizer, Dr. Schulz contributed to pharmaceutical research as a PhD student at Freie Universität Berlin, focusing on transdermal drug delivery systems, and gained early career experience at Kos Pharmaceuticals and Schering AG. Dr. Schulz earned a Staatsexamen degree in Pharmacy from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
