Elliot DeHaan

Director, Vaccine Clinical Research & Development

Elliot DeHaan, MD, has extensive experience in the field of infectious diseases and clinical research, holding key positions in various medical institutions. At SUNY Downstate Medical Center from 2014 to 2017, DeHaan served as Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of HCV Services, focusing on outpatient HIV care and leading clinical service grants. Subsequently, DeHaan was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine until 2021, where responsibilities included supervising fellows and participating in clinical trials related to COVID-19 and HIV. DeHaan transitioned to Pfizer, first as Associate Director in Vaccine Clinical Research & Development and then as Director, focusing on the RSVpreF vaccine trials. Additional experience includes roles at Tufts Medical Center, NYU Medical Center, and Community Healthcare Network, highlighting a strong commitment to outpatient care and HIV services. DeHaan earned an MD from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2005.
