Frank Zappulla

Frank Zappulla is an experienced software engineer and microbiologist currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer at Pfizer since October 2023. Previously, Zappulla held the position of Head of Scientific Computing at Code Ocean from May 2022 to October 2023, and worked at The Jackson Laboratory from June 2019 to May 2022 as a Computer Systems Analyst II. Earlier roles include positions as Computer Systems Analyst, Software Developer Intern, and as a Full-Stack Web Developer in self-employment from January 2014 to July 2019. Zappulla's career began as a Research Microbiologist at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from November 2008 to August 2014, and an internship at Pfizer in 2007. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from UConn College of Engineering, as well as multiple degrees in Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology, and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Connecticut.
