James Rusnak

James Rusnak, MD, PhD, is the Chief Development Officer and Senior Vice President of Internal Medicine at Pfizer Research & Development, continuing a distinguished career in the pharmaceutical industry that began in 2000. After earning MD and PhD degrees from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completing an Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic, they have held increasingly responsible positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Pfizer, contributing to significant drug development initiatives. Notable achievements include leading a major cardiovascular outcome study and influencing the clinical development of ELIQUIS, as well as presenting data on CHANTIX to an FDA Advisory Panel.
