Liang Xue has a strong background in scientific research, with a focus on protein studies and drug discovery. They began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2004, where they gained valuable experience in the field. In 2008, they transitioned to a Graduate Research Assistant position at Purdue University, where they continued their research work until 2013. During this time, they contributed to various projects and developed their knowledge and skills in the field. Following their time at Purdue, Liang Xue joined the Howard Hughes Medical Institute | California Institute of Technology as a Postdoctoral Fellow, specializing in proteomics and high throughput drug discovery. They then moved on to work at Celgene as a Scientist, further expanding their expertise. Currently, Liang Xue is employed at Pfizer, where they have held the roles of Principal Scientist and Senior Principal Scientist, responsible for leading research and contributing to scientific advancements.
Liang Xue obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2008. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from Purdue University, completing it in 2013. In 2017, Liang Xue earned a Master's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications including passing levels I, II, and III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, passing Part 1&2 of the Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) exam, and becoming a SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 in 2019, 2017, and 2012 respectively.
