Patrizia Cavazzoni

Patrizia Cavazzoni is a highly experienced executive in the pharmaceutical industry, with a career spanning over two decades. Notably, Patrizia served as Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President at Pfizer from April 2012 to August 2017, overseeing various aspects of clinical sciences, operations, and regulatory safety. Following this, Patrizia took on significant leadership roles at the FDA from January 2018 to January 2025, including Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. Prior experience includes a Vice President position at Sanofi focusing on global pharmacovigilance, and several leadership roles at Eli Lilly and Company in patient safety and neuroscience. Academically, Patrizia holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from McGill University and a fellowship in psychiatry from the University of Ottawa.
