Suman Giri

Suman Giri, PhD, currently serves as the Vice President and Head of Data Science and AI at Pfizer, a position held since 2024. Prior to joining Pfizer, Suman Giri was the Executive Director and Head of Data Science at Merck from 2021 to 2024. Earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Data Science & Consulting at CitiusTech, and as a Data Science Manager at Highmark Inc. Suman Giri's career also encompassed roles such as Data Scientist at Aetna, CTO and Strategy Advisor at EEme, LLC, and R&D researcher at Samsung Telecommunications America. Suman Giri holds a PhD in Advanced Infrastructure Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Oberlin College.
