Marty Margolis

Marty Margolis is a seasoned professional in asset management and consulting, currently serving as the Founder of the Public Funds Investment Institute since April 2023. In addition, Margolis holds the position of Principal at Next Consulting and has maintained a long-standing consultancy role at PFM Asset Management LLC since December 1986, where roles have included President of PFM Fund Distributors and Chief Investment Officer. Prior experience includes being a Partner at Financial Management Services and serving the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as Special Assistant to Governor Milton J. Shapp. Margolis began a career in journalism as a reporter for The Associated Press. Education includes honors from the University of Pennsylvania, where Margolis earned a BA in American History, followed by doctoral candidacy and a fellowship in Sociology at Harvard University.
