Nawal Sharma, Ph.D. has a wide range of experience in the field of chemical technology, with a focus on research and development, scale-up, technology transfer, and commercialization.

From 2018, Nawal served as the Chief Technology Officer at PfP Industries, where they led the development of new business for the production of designer drag reducing polymers for the oil field industry and water treatment. They also managed a strategic partnership with potential toll producers in North America and Asia for manufacturing customized polyacrylamide emulsions.

Prior to PfP Industries, Nawal worked at Chemicals Inc. from 2017 to 2018 as Vice President of Product Development and General Manager of the Bay City Site. They successfully managed the production site, implemented strategic changes, and brought in new businesses.

From 2013 to 2017, Nawal held various roles at Dixie Chemical Co., including Director of R&D and R&D Leader. In these positions, they managed R&D efforts for the manufacturing of specialty chemicals, including epoxy curing agents, jet fuel additives, paper sizing products, and vitamin D supplements.

Earlier in their career, Nawal worked at Dow Chemical, Rohm and Haas, PPG Industries, and the University of Pittsburgh in research and development roles.

Nawal also has experience in pharmaceutical process development and scale-up, having served as a Group Leader and Senior Scientist at Ranbaxy and Eli Lilly Ranbaxy Company.

They obtained a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience in chemistry from the University of Antwerp and the Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

Nawal Sharma, Ph.D. has a strong education background in chemistry. Nawal earned their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Agra (India) from 1986 to 1988. Nawal further pursued their education at Delhi University, where they completed their M.Phil. in Organic and Heterocyclic Chemistry from 1988 to 1990. Nawal then obtained their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Delhi University between 1990 and 1993.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Nawal Sharma has also obtained various certifications. In 2015, they achieved the ISRS 8 Certification by DNV with ISRS 8 (International Safety Rating System) through Labtopia, Inc. and DNV. In 2016, they completed certifications such as Cleaning Validation (T 17) from ISPE, Technology Transfer (T19) from ISPE, and REACH, TSCA, Food-Contact Substances, and Other FDA-Regulated Products from Keller & Heckman LLP. Nawal'smost recent certification is Managing Your Time from LinkedIn, which they obtained in May 2017.
