Gary Wong has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Gary started their career as a Marketing Intern at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2011, they interned as a Digital Marketing Intern at The Sporting News. Gary then joined Sporting News as a Marketing Coordinator in 2012 and subsequently became a Marketing Manager in 2013. From 2014 to 2015, they served as the Manager of Insights & Analytics at Sporting News. In 2017, they transitioned to the PGA of America, where they initially worked as a Program Specialist for three years. Starting in January 2020, they took on the role of Analytics & Digital Product Manager until December 2021. Gary then became the Digital Product & Business Intelligence Lead from December 2021 to April 2022 before assuming their current role as the Director of Products & Business Intelligence.

Gary Wong earned a Master's Degree in Sports Law and Business from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2015-2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at Trinity College-Hartford from 2008 to 2012. Their high school education was at Deerfield Academy from 2004 to 2008, and they attended Eaglebrook School from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, Gary has obtained certifications in "Analyzing and Visualizing Data in Looker" from Coursera, and "Business Analytics: From Data to Insights" from The Wharton School in 2023 and 2019 respectively.
