Shannon Rock, CMP, currently serves as Championships Special Event Coordinator for the PGA of America since August 2022, focusing on executing high-profile special events during Championship weeks. Prior to this role, Shannon accumulated extensive event planning experience at The University of Texas at Dallas, managing 10-15 significant events annually for the Office of the President and overseeing event operations at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center. Previous positions include Event Manager at Albuquerque Convention Center, where responsibilities included comprehensive event coordination, and Activities Director at Albuquerque Grand Senior Living, tasked with developing engaging resident programs. Shannon also has administrative experience from Galles Chevrolet and began a career in the events industry through internships and early roles. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from New Mexico State University and an Associate of Applied Science from Central New Mexico Community College.
