Thijs Scholte Albers

Thijs Scholte Albers, CFA, is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Associate Director for Clean Energy & Infrastructure at PGGM since August 2022. Prior to this role, Thijs worked as an Investment Associate in Clean Energy EMEA at Aquila Capital from March 2019 to July 2022, after serving as a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst at CRH from November 2016 to February 2019. Thijs began a career in investment banking as an Analyst at ING from October 2015 to October 2016, preceded by an Off-cycle Analyst role at Nomura in 2015. Earlier experience includes a Summer Analyst position in Equity Research at Rabobank and participation in the Risk Investment Team and as a Commercial Relations Officer at the Financial Study Association of the University of Groningen. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Groningen, supplemented by an exchange period at The Australian National University and a Bachelor of Science in Bedrijfskunde from the University of Groningen. Thijs is also a Level III candidate with the CFA Institute.
