Emily Sarmiento

Emily Sarmiento is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles across various nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as a Fractional Executive and Advisor at Leading Edge Impact, Emily provides expertise to help organizations make informed strategic decisions. As the inaugural Executive Director of the PGLS Cares Foundation, Emily is focused on structuring the organization's initiatives and developing workforce programs. Previously, as President and CEO of Tearfund USA, Emily led significant growth and navigated a merger with Tearfund UK. Emily's career also includes pivotal positions at Compassion International, where revenue increased from $300 million to $1 billion, and at Convoy of Hope, managing substantial international programs. Emily holds an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership for International Development from Eastern University.
