Andrzej Gaweł

Andrzej Gaweł is the current Head of Development Rzeszow at PGS Software SA. Andrzej has held this position for 16 years. Prior to that, they were a Program Manager, Team Leader, and Senior Developer at the company. In these roles, they were responsible for launching and managing the Rzeszów office (over 150 IT engineers), coaching and recruiting new professionals in JAVA, .Net/C#, and PHP, and finding business opportunities on the market. Andrzej also led one of the most significant TDD oriented projects in the company.

In addition to their work at PGS Software SA, Andrzej is also the owner of PROOSTO, a position they have held for 17 years and 1 month. In this role, they are responsible for the software architecture and development of a transaction processing module for a bank system, as well as introducing design patterns and code conventions into managed projects. Andrzej has also developed a web application that visitors can use to apply for prepay cards, which is integrated with 3rd party web services that validate data supplied during the registration process (OFAC, KYC, complete address validation within GB). The application is PCI DSS compliant and is a critical part of the payment processing system that uses E-Vouchers, credit cards, debit cards, and wages payments.

Andrzej has extensive experience in Java programming, including JAVA 1.5/1.6, hibernate 3.x, Oracle 10/11i, JSTL, JSP 2.0, Quartz, Spring, iText, and webservices (Axis, CXF). Andrzej is also familiar with Declarative Transaction Management and Hibernate Annotation.

Andrzej Gaweł has a Master of Science from Politechnika Wrocławska in Computer Science and Management, Information Systems. Andrzej also has a AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) from Amazon AWS Certification and a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance Inc.
