Jordy Dikkers

Jordy Dikkers is an AI research engineer at Phaidra. Prior to joining Phaidra, Jordy was a data science chemicals intern at BASF from November 2019 to May 2020. In this role, Jordy assisted researchers by improving their data analysis pipeline, primarily using Python to create Dash-based apps that automatically calculate and visualize results from raw experimental data. The apps saved hours a month of manual work for the researchers. Jordy also created detailed chemical reaction models used for testing optimization algorithms.

From August 2019 to October 2019, Jordy was a process automation intern at Nouryon. In this role, Jordy redesigned control principles and controller tuning and wrote software to automatically analyze and visualize the latest factory data, which helped with finding the major areas in the factory that required improvements.

Jordy has also served as a TA for deep learning at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen from April to June 2019 and as a research scientist intern at KAUST from September 2018 to February 2019. In January 2018, Jordy was a finalist in the KAUST poster competition.

Jordy Dikkers has a Master's degree in Chemische technologie (Chemical engineering) from the University of Groningen. Jordy also has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente and a minor in Chemische technologie (Chemical engineering) from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Finally, they have a Propedeuse in Chemische technologie (Chemical engineering) from Hanzehogeschool Groningen / Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.

Jordy Dikkers reports to Paritosh Mohan, Head of Engineering. They work with Ayoosh Kathuria - AI Research Engineer, Ricardo Amaro - SRE Lead, and Srinivas Venkattaramanujam - Software Engineer.
