Joel Margolis

Joel Margolis is an experienced security professional with a strong background in application security. Currently serving as a Senior AppSec Engineer at Phantom since July 2025, Joel previously held managerial roles at Match Group, including Manager II of AppSec Development, focusing on engineering-oriented projects. Joel's expertise extends to previous positions at Tinder, Uber, and as Founder of SiloCode, LLC, where a variety of security and software development initiatives were undertaken. Additionally, Joel co-hosts the Critical Thinking - Bug Bounty Podcast, sharing insights on technical content related to bug bounty practices. Education includes attendance at the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2018.
