Phaphama SEDI

Phaphama Small Enterprise Development Initiative (S.E.D.I) in a Non-Profit Organisation that was established in 2014 by a group of students from the University of Cape Town (UCT), who are committed to promoting leadership, entrepreneurship and small enterprise development in communities in and around Cape Town. Phaphama is not a student society, however it has links to UCT through the UCT Consulting Club. Phaphama also partners with various societies and businesses, the information on our partner's can be found on our website or through the Facebook links provided on our Facebook page. While the student consultants are given the unique experiential opportunity of working closely with real businesses in these contexts, the entrepreneurs are taken through a rigorous and inspiring course which, we hope, stands them each in good stead to integrate into the formal economy, should that be consistent with their individual visions. Ultimately, Phaphama’s goal is to help its client businesses to grow into sustainable small- to medium-sized outfits through administrative aid, skills building and, crucially, through our expansive and growing networking efforts.
