Rachel Shelton

Rachel Shelton is a director of recruitment and admissions at Episcopal Divinity School. Rachel has also worked as a director of recruitment and admissions at Pharmacy Initiative Leaders.

Shelton began their career in 2012 as a director of recruitment and admissions at Episcopal Divinity School. Rachel was responsible for recruiting students and overseeing the admissions process for multiple programs in specialized, selective graduate school. Rachel developed and implemented a comprehensive international recruitment strategy, planning special events like open houses, and representing EDS at national conventions and conferences. Because having a clear process is critical to admissions, they managed Admissions Committee activities, including leading a revamping of the admissions processes and developing clear policies. Rachel collaborated with the school's Director of Communications to improve overall branding; they also wrote copy for the school's website and promotional materials. To promote a fair and inclusive atmosphere, they trained faculty, staff, and students in admissions best practices, initiated and negotiated partnership arrangements, and worked with the Director of Alumni Relations to create a network of Alumni Admissions Ambassadors. Rachel is also proud to have revamped the school's international scholar program and enhanced diversity on campus.

In their current role at Pharmacy Initiative Leaders, Rachel Shelton is using their skills and experience to help develop the next generation of leaders in the pharmacy industry.

Rachel Shelton has a MBA in Finance from The Wharton School, a MA in International Relations & International Communications from Boston University, and a BA in English with minors in Business Administration and Dance from Loyola Marymount University. Rachel is also certified by LinkedIn in Communicating Across Cultures, Cultivating Cultural Competence and Inclusion, Inclusive Leadership, and Unconscious Bias. Additionally, they are certified by the National Resume Writers' Association as a Nationally Certified Online Profile Expert (NCOPE), by the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches as a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW), by the Center For Credentialing & Education as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), and by the National Career Development Association as a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP).
