Dan Mallon's work experience begins in 1997 when they served as a Research Training Award Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. From 1998 to 2001, they worked as a Consultant at The Weinberg Group. In 2002, they held the position of Business Development Intern at Human Genome Sciences and later became a Business Development Analyst at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2003, they joined Gene Logic Inc. as the Director of Sales Operations, and in 2004, they transitioned to the role of Director of Business Process Development. In 2006, Mallon moved to Emergent BioSolutions where they held various titles including Director of Sales, Director of Business Development, Senior Director of Business Development and Alliance Management, and Autoinjector Business Director. Mallon joined RRD International, LLC in 2018 as their Vice President of Business Development before moving to Ellume in 2021 as the Vice President of Business Development. In 2023, they became the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at PharmaJet. Additionally, Mallon served as a Board Member at Rockville Economic Development, Inc. (REDI) from 2021 to 2023.

Dan Mallon received their High School Diploma from Gonzaga College High School in 1993. Dan then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Miami University, graduating in 1997. Later, they completed their MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2003.
