Jeanne Barnett is a highly experienced professional with a focus on patient empowerment, particularly within the cystic fibrosis community. Since April 2023, Jeanne has served as a Board Member for PharmaLedger Association. As the CEO and Founder of CFTechnology.org, established in 1996, Jeanne has been exploring blockchain solutions for patient record empowerment. In addition, Jeanne is a Founding Member of the Aurora Project Group, which emphasizes patient-centricity, and continues to contribute to CFTechnology, dedicated to mobile technology for cystic fibrosis patients. Jeanne is also the President and Founder of CysticFibrosis.com, a dynamic e-patient community, and the owner of over 100 niche medical domains through Medrise. In 2014, Jeanne chaired the Patient Conference in Philadelphia for eyeforpharma. Jeanne holds a BS degree from Fordham University.

The PharmaLedger Association (PLA) is a not-for-profit with global reach created as the result of the successful completion of the PharmaLedger Project. PLA’s core objective is to implement and promote a Digital Trust Ecosystem in Healthcare (DTE-H) with the representation and equitable input from healthcare stakeholders globally. PLA is a neutral party, pre-competition umbrella organization capable of ensuring continuous adherence to antitrust, intellectual property, data privacy, and Computerized System Assurance guidelines. Why is PLA needed? To solve ecosystem-wide problems that cannot be solved by silos or single organizations. It takes an ecosystem to sustain a trusted, shared infrastructure for secure data exchange in healthcare. Any organization or company connected and impacted by the healthcare industry can become a member of PLA, including manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, pharmacy chains, clinics, hospitals, technology and other specialized service providers, healthcare organizations, NGOs, and patient organizations, among others.
