Stephan Eder

Stephan Eder currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Pharmanovia, a position held since October 2025. Prior to this role, Eder was with STADA Group from June 2020 to October 2025, where responsibilities included EVP for Western Europe & Germany, Europe & Germany, and Russia/CIS. Eder's career in the pharmaceutical sector includes a notable tenure at Sandoz/Hexal and Novartis, where Eder progressed from roles in corporate strategy to leadership positions such as CEO of Hexal AG. Eder co-founded 55pharma Drug Discovery & Development AG, serving as CFO from 2005 to 2007. Earlier experiences include an engagement manager role at McKinsey & Company and a research and teaching assistantship at the University of St.Gallen. Eder holds a Dr. oec. in Business Administration and Management from the University of St.Gallen, alongside degrees from Université catholique de Louvain and WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business).
