Jelena Djordjevic has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, starting as a Production Pharmacist at Fampharm and moving up the ranks to eventually become the Managing Director at Alvogen. Jelena has held various regulatory affairs and data management roles at companies like Actavis and The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. Currently, Jelena is serving as the New Growth Project Director at PharmaS. Jelena Djordjevic obtained their education at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, Serbia.

PharmaS

PharmaS was founded in 2008 in Zagreb, Croatia. It is present in most SEE markets and currently has operations across seven countries. Its pharma business includes a vast portfolio of Rx retail and hospital products, as well as OTC drugs. In addition, PharmaS is a leading player in the Adria region in consumer healthcare, having acquired Dietpharm portfolio back in 2019. In 2023 PharmaS acquired Madrid-based MABO-FARMA and started expansion into western European markets on its strategic path to become a pan-European pharma company focused on commercialization of drugs, utilizing and further developing its partnership network. PharmaS currently employs around 400 experts with over 150 customer-facing staff in commercial operations covering SEE markets and Spain, allowing for cooperation with various pharmaceutical companies, both innovative and generic, in regard to manufacturing or marketing a wide portfolio of molecules. Besides a strong marketing and sales teams across territories, PharmaS owns three modern pharmaceutical factories with capacity exceeding 30 million packages per year. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Zagreb, Rakitje (Croatia) and Zrenjanin (Serbia). The company’s production, storage, distribution and drug quality control processes meet the strictest EU standards set for the pharmaceutical industry. PharmaS applies the best pharmaceutical practices, all procedures meet the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, and has held an ISO 21000:2005 certificate as of this year, which it uses to meet the HACCP standard as this is very important with respect to food supplement production. The company regularly receives the highest ratings from auditors and regulatory authorities. The level of quality is evident from the fact that PharmaS is the first Croatian pharmaceutical company that has been inspected under TAIEX, an EU program, and was awarded excellent ratings.
