Weixing Sun has extensive experience in research and development within the pharmaceutical and cannabis industries. Currently serving as the Director of Research and Development at Pharmascience since March 2004, Weixing Sun has specialized in method development for the quantitation of analytes in biological matrices as well as for pesticides, residual solvents, terpenes, and heavy metals in cannabis products. Previous roles include R&D Manager and Principal Research Scientist, where responsibilities included method validation, sample analysis, and lab operations. Prior to Pharmascience, Weixing Sun worked at Cytochroma Inc. as a Research Associate and held postdoctoral positions at Brock University and the University of Ottawa. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry-Mass Spectrometry from the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
