Margaret Irwin

Margaret Irwin has extensive experience in the clinical operations field. Margaret is currently working as the Head of Clinical Operations at PHARMExcel since October 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Director Clinical Site Services, Europe at UBC - An Express Scripts Company from July 2015 to August 2020, where they were responsible for developing and driving departmental strategy and structure. Before that, Margaret worked at Quintiles as the Director of Clinical Operations from May 2014 to July 2015 and as the Associate Director of Clinical Operations from May 2012 to May 2014. Margaret also served as the Head of Clinical Operations at MAC Clinical Research from October 2010 to May 2012. Margaret started their career at Covance, where they held various roles including Technical Manager, Technical Coordinator, Project Coordinator, and Project Technician from 1992 to 2008. Margaret began their career as a Medical Laboratory Scientific Officer at Royal Alexander Hospital from January 1984 to 1991. Throughout their career, Margaret has demonstrated strong leadership skills, budget management, and expertise in clinical operations and site services.

Margaret Irwin completed their education at two different universities. Margaret first attended Leeds Beckett University from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Bioscience and Health. Prior to that, they studied at Glasgow Caledonian University from 1986 to 1990, specializing in Biomedical Science. Margaret also has an additional certification in Microsoft Teams Quick Tips, which they obtained in April 2021 through LinkedIn.
