Daniel Franks has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Daniel is currently the Sr Regional Medical Director for the Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, and CEE at Pharming Group N.V. Prior to this, they were the Executive Regional Medical Director for the UK & Ireland at Novartis Gene Therapies. Daniel has also held positions such as Senior Director of Global Medical Affairs at Freeline, Medical Director for UK & Ireland at Amicus Therapeutics, and Associate Medical Director for Rare Diseases at Sanofi Genzyme. Daniel Franks has additionally worked at Indivior, AstraZeneca, Ipsen, Novo Nordisk A/S, and the UK Ministry of Defence throughout their career.
Daniel Franks completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology at the University of St Andrews from 1988 to 1992. Daniel then pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Molecular Biosystematics at the University of Cambridge from 1992 to 1994. Following that, they attended the University of Dundee from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained their MB ChB degree in Medicine. Finally, in 2008 to 2009, they received their MRCGP degree from The Royal College of General Practitioners.
