Edwin Van Amersfoort has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Edwin started their career as a PHD student at Leiden University, focusing on the involvement of hepatic scavenger receptors and lipoproteins in the neutralization of bacterial toxins in mice. After completing their PhD, they joined Organon as a Regulatory Affairs Scientist before being promoted to Head Study Directors General and Reproduction Toxicology. In 2006, they moved to Amsterdam Molecular Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist in Nonclinical Development. Since 2009, they have been with Pharming Group N.V., where they have held various positions including Director Nonclinical, Director Regulatory Affairs and Nonclinical, and Senior Director Scientific Business Strategy. Edwin has expertise in scientific business strategy, regulatory affairs, nonclinical safety, and pharmacovigilance.
Edwin Van Amersfoort obtained a Master's Degree in Medical Biology from Utrecht University, where they studied from 1988 to 1994. Prior to that, they attended Christelijk Lyceum Zeist from 1982 to 1988, but no degree or field of study information was provided.
