Max Nair

Co-Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Phase 3

Max founded Phase 3 in February, 2001 with his business partner, Ken Holsclaw. In May, 2017, Max's operating role expanded as the company's Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer. In this capacity, Max has ultimate authority over major financial decisions and executes Phase 3’s acquisition strategy by identifying, vetting, negotiating and buying target companies.

Prior to joining Phase 3 full time, Max spent 24 years on Wall Street working for such institutions as Bear Stearns, Wachovia, Knight Libertas, UBS and Cantor Fitzgerald. Over this period of time, he became widely recognized as a leading global expert in emerging market fixed-income trading.

A native of India, Max graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration. He lives in Rye, New York with his wife, Elena and two young sons, Nathan and Milan.
