Stephen Eacker

Stephen Eacker has a diverse work experience. Stephen began their career in 2012 as an Adjunct Faculty at Towson University. In 2012, they also started working as a Research Associate Faculty at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where they focused on using the ribosome as a platform for understanding neurobiology. Stephen later became an Instructor at Johns Hopkins, leading a small laboratory and using the translating ribosome affinity purification method to study translation control and neuronal connectivity in the context of cognition and Parkinson's disease. In 2018, they joined Phase Genomics as a Senior Research Scientist, and later took on roles as Director of Research and Development and Vice President of Research and Development.

Stephen Eacker completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of Puget Sound from 1993 to 1997. Stephen then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genome Sciences/Genomics at the University of Washington from 1998 to 2006. Finally, they undertook a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University from 2006 to 2012.
