Chris Sutcliffe CEng FIMechE is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in additive manufacturing and strategic development. Currently serving as a Technical and Commercial Strategy Advisor at Additive Monitoring Systems since January 2022, Chris also holds roles as Chief Executive Officer at Meta Consultancy LDA and Co-Founder of both FUSION IMPLANTS LTD. and Meta Additive. Previously, Chris was involved in the founding and directorship of Fusion Implants, specializing in advanced orthopedic implants for veterinary use. An accomplished academic, Chris served as a Professor of Additive Manufacturing at the University of Liverpool from 2002 to 2018, leading numerous research initiatives and academic programs. Chris's expertise is further demonstrated through leadership roles in several research and development projects, including stints as Research and Development Director at Renishaw and MTT Technologies. Chris earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Fluid Dynamics and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Liverpool.
