R. Emerson T.

R. Emerson T. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. They are currently working as a Public Health Senior Analyst at The Public Health Company, where they contribute to the development of a global biosecurity platform. Prior to this, they served as a Regional Science Manager at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency for five years. They also had a role as a Science & Technology Policy Fellow at AAAS. R. Emerson T. gained experience in editing as an Associate Editor at The Journal of Science Policy and Governance. They also worked as a Small Animal Rotating Intern at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine and as a CDC-Hubert Global Health Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They had veterinary externships at AVMA and FAO, and conducted independent research on foot-and-mouth disease control in Ethiopia as a Veterinary Policy Researcher at Tufts Feinstein International Center. Their earliest work experience was as a member of the Green Apple Corps at the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation.

R. Emerson T. began their education at St. Paul's School from 2001 to 2005. After completing high school, they attended Middlebury College from 2005 to 2009, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology. Following that, they pursued further education at Tufts University, starting from 2012 to 2013, in The Fletcher School. During this time, they obtained their Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Relations. Additionally, from 2010 to 2015, R. Emerson T. attended Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in International Veterinary Medicine, and completed their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
