Omar Abid

Omar Abid is a seasoned professional in the field of Machine Learning and MLOps, currently serving as a Senior MLOps Engineer at Luminar Technologies since January 2024. Prior to this role, Omar worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Quantiphi, focusing on leveraging Machine Learning technologies such as Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing to address various industry challenges. Omar has held positions in various organizations including Curate Mobile Ltd. and Watstock, where contributions included coordinating teams and developing advanced software algorithms in the security sector. Academic experiences at York University as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant involved enhancing AI systems and participating in cutting-edge discussions in Computer Vision and Machine Learning.
