Troy Fokken

Troy Fokken is a seasoned data engineering professional with extensive experience in architecture and software development. Currently serving as Chief Architect - Data Engineering at phData since January 2016, Troy has held multiple roles within the company, including Principal Solutions Architect and Sr Solutions Architect. Prior experience includes positions at The Nerdery as a Senior Software Engineer, where Troy engineered a Scala Play REST application, and Thomson Reuters, where responsibilities included developing web services middleware and mentoring junior developers. Troy's early career included roles as a Lab Consultant at the University of Minnesota and as an Information Services Intern at both The Toro Company and Thomson Reuters. Troy holds a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota Duluth, completed in 2010.
