Shefah Qazi has a wealth of work experience in the field of protein sciences. Shefah began their career in 2008 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Shefah then continued their studies at Montana State University from 2010-2015, where they served as an AHA Predoctoral Fellow, PhD Candidate, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2019, Shefah began working at Indiana University Bloomington as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Instructor, teaching Macromolecules, replication, transcription, translation, and gene therapy to 92 undergraduate students. Shefah also served as an Adjunct Professor at Ivy Tech Community College. In 2021, Shefah joined Gritstone bio as a Scientist II and in 2022 they began working at Pheast Therapeutics as a Scientist II, Protein Sciences.
Shefah Qazi received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley, College of Chemistry in 2008. Shefah then went on to receive a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from Montana State University-Bozeman in 2014. Shefah Qazi is currently enrolled in Indiana University Bloomington, pursuing a degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.
