Herman Bekker

Herman Bekker is an experienced professional in the automotive and engineering industries, currently serving as the Head of Technical Sourcing at Phelan Green Group since August 2025, where the focus is on strategic procurement and supplier management for e-Fuels. Prior to this role, Herman worked at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. as a Material Engineer from March 2022 to September 2025, contributing to the development of new generation electric vehicles and overseeing supplier industrialization. Previous experience includes various project engineering roles at Mercedes-Benz South Africa, encompassing paintshop project management and process change implementations, as well as a brief stint as a Graduate Trainee in Series Planning. Herman holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Stellenbosch University, obtained between 2008 and 2011, following high school education at Framesby High School from 2004 to 2007.
