Galo Orquera-Aguirre

Galo Orquera-Aguirre, MEM, is a seasoned professional in operations management and applied scientific applications, currently serving as a Senior Operations Project Manager at Phenomenex since July 2021. In this role, Galo leads cross-functional biotech teams to enhance process workflows and company operations initiatives. Prior experience at Phenomenex includes managing a team of multidisciplinary scientists and overseeing laboratory operations, where Galo successfully handled numerous projects utilizing the Danaher Business System. Before Phenomenex, Galo worked at Grifols, advancing from QC Chemist I to Chemical Control Production Supervisor, gaining expertise in quality control, root cause analysis, and compliance with FDA and ISO standards. Galo's educational background includes a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management from California State University, Northridge, and ongoing studies for a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at California State University, Long Beach, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Chemistry from UC Irvine.
