Oren Kraus

Oren Kraus has held a variety of roles in the field of Machine Learning. Starting in 2013, they were a Technical Writer at BeneFACT Consulting Group Inc. In 2015, they were a Data Science Intern at Apple. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Machine Learning Researcher at Borealis AI. From 2017 to 2021, they were Co-Founder & Machine Learning Advisor, as well as Co-Founder & CTO at Phenomic. In 2020, they were Head of Data Science at League Inc. and in 2021 they are currently a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Recursion and a Machine Learning Team Lead at ProteinQure, where they are working on Protein Therapeutics.

Oren Kraus completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2010. Following this, they earned their Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering in 2012. Lastly, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Machine Learning and Computational Biology from the University of Toronto in 2017.
