Joel Looyis

Joel Looyis has held a variety of roles in the past 13 years. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a freelance media and marketing consultant, offering a variety of niche services. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Project Manager at the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary, where they co-chaired the General Committee and led the Executive team for a three-day outdoor festival. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Project Manager at Suncor Energy, a Director of Operations at Access52, and a Growth Program Manager at Draper AI. In 2018, they became an Operations Manager at Vek Labs, where they worked with multiple companies on various projects. In 2021, they became a Growth Manager at Glass Canvas, and they are currently a Growth Manager at PhenoTips.

Joel Looyis holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from the Haskayne School of Business, with a focus in Business Strategy, Operations Management, and Information Systems. Joel also has two additional certifications: an IBM Data Analyst Specialization obtained through Coursera in March 2021, and a Usability Mapping - Safety and Documentation certification obtained through Suncor in January 2014.
