Damion Blackburn has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Damion started their career in 2005 as Chief Pilot at Guidance Aviation, where they developed a ground instruction program and course work. In 2008, Damion worked as a Tour Pilot at Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters, providing seasonal tour operations at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Damion joined PHI Inc in 2009 and held various roles throughout their tenure. Damion started as a VFR Captain - HEMS and later became an IFR Captain - HEMS. From 2014 to 2016, they served as an IFR Captain - Oil and Gas. Damion then transitioned into a management role, working as Shell Field Base Manager from 2016 to 2018 and Supervisor of Scheduling from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, they worked as an Area Aviation Manager from 2020 to 2021.
Currently, Damion holds the position of Strategic Growth Support Manager at PHI Inc. Overall, they have gained extensive experience in flight operations, management, and strategic growth support within the aviation industry.
Damion Blackburn has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Aeronautical Science and Human Factors from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which they completed in 2009. Prior to that, in 2003, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aeronautical Science from the same university.
