Peter Thiel

Peter Thiel is an accomplished finance and corporate development executive with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as Vice President and CFO at Phil Smith Automotive Group since January 2025, Thiel previously held key roles at Haig Partners, LLC as Managing Director and at AutoNation, Inc., where positions included Vice President and Senior Director of Corporate Development. Thiel's career began at Salomon Brothers and includes roles at Sports Authority and various positions within AutoNation that spanned from Finance Director to Sr. Financial Analyst. Academically, Thiel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Stetson University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tampa.
