Prosper Karangwa

VP, Player Personnel & General Manager, Delaware Blue Coats & Basketball Operations at Philadelphia 76ers

Prosper Karangwa is the VP of Player Personnel and General Manager of the Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers. Prosper has over a decade of experience in professional basketball, both as a player and a scout.

Prosper began their professional career as a player with Jeanne d'Arc de Vichy Val d'Allier Auvergne Basket in 2006. Prosper played two seasons with the team before moving to Paris Levallois Basket in 2008. Prosper spent two seasons with Paris Levallois before retiring from playing in 2010.

After retiring from playing, Prosper founded Global Scouting Service, LLC, a company that scouts college basketball games and gathers intel on players from coaches and other sources. Prosper evaluated and graded players on their potential to play professionally overseas, and maintained a database of all scouted players. In 2012, Prosper sold their company and began working as the Director of College Scouting for the Orlando Magic NBA team.

In their current role with the Philadelphia 76ers, Prosper is responsible for player personnel decisions and overseeing the basketball operations of the Delaware Blue Coats. Prosper has helped build the Blue Coats into one of the top G League teams in the league, and has been instrumental in developing many players who have gone on to have successful NBA careers.

Prosper Karangwa studied sociology at Siena College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Their manager is Daryl Morey, President, Basketball Operations. They are on a team with Julia Cushing - Sous Chef, George Brosky - Scout, and Peter Dinwiddie - EVP, Basketball Operations. Some direct reports include Coby Karl - Head Coach, Nick Coyle - Head Athletic Trainer, and Jameer Nelson - Assistant General Manager.
