Erik Wickley-Olsen, P.E. has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries and roles. Erik started their career as a Crew Chief at McDonald's of Bethlehem in 1996 and later worked as a Construction Worker at Allied Mechanical Services from 2000 to 2003. From 2004 to 2005, Erik served as a Student Mentor at Temple University and then interned as an Operations Management Intern at South Central Pool Corporation in 2005.
In 2006, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Temple University's Environmental Hydrology and Hydraulics Lab until 2008. Erik then transitioned into the engineering field and served as an Engineering Consultant from 2008 to 2012. During this time, they also worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Philadelphia Gas Works from 2008 to 2013.
At Philadelphia Gas Works, Erik progressively advanced to the role of Project Design Engineer, where they co-managed the Engineering Department and supervised a team supporting Gas Processing and Facilities Departments. Erik managed large capital projects, co-managed the Engineering Department, and recommended capital budgets for Gas Processing.
In 2019, Erik joined the American Gas Association as a Representative for Philadelphia Gas Works, where they represented the company on the Operation Section Engineering Committee and served as the lead editor for pending Gas Engineering & Operating Principles D-1 Ch. 13 Regulator Station Design.
Furthermore, Erik was a Committee Member for the George Washington Carver Science Fair from 2009 until March 2022.
