Lauren Caporizio

Lauren Caporizio is the current Chief Business Development Officer at Philadelphia Rock Gyms. Lauren has also previously worked as an equities sales and trading intern at UBS Investment Bank and as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer at Community First Fund.

Caporizio began their professional career as an intern at UBS Investment Bank in May of 2008. There, they gained experience in Direct Execution Services, Research Sales, and High Net Worth trading desks. Lauren also received extensive training in trading derivatives and analyzed and delivered daily stock pitches to trading management executives. In addition, Caporizio cultivated new leads for the Exchange Traded Derivatives desk through a presentation based on internal cross-selling opportunities analysis. Lauren also organized and distributed research data to the research sales desk and competed in a simulated stock market trading game.

After their internship at UBS Investment Bank, Caporizio became an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer at Community First Fund in June of 2009. There, they analyzed business processes and improved efficiencies around investor management through the creation of an investment database. Lauren also documented, revised, and streamlined all current policies and procedures. Furthermore, Caporizio created consistent, accurate, standardized reports from all software applications utilized. In addition, they served on the Finance and Administration Committee to assist senior management with financial statement review and analysis. Lastly, Caporizio supported the development and implementation of a plan to increase the industry rating, CARS (CDFI Assessment Rating System) through detailed industry and business analysis.

Lauren Caporizio holds a Bachelor of Science from UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business. Lauren majored in finance and economics.
