Philadelphia Zoo
Alexis Brown, PhD, currently serves as Chief People Officer at Philadelphia Zoo since December 2024 and is a Professor in the Certified Public Manager Program at Rutgers University since September 2019. Previously, Alexis held the role of Chief People Officer at World Relief and worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at Eastern University and Upper Iowa University, while also teaching as an Adjunct Professor. Additional experience includes roles as Human Resources Manager at Youth Enrichment Programs, Consultant/Trainer for TriZen, and CareerLink Administrator at SERCO. With a PhD in Public Administration from Walden University and an MBA in Management from Eastern University, Alexis focuses on talent development, DEIB initiatives, and course development across educational settings. Notable certifications include Creating Leadership Development Programs from Association Talent Development and Lean Six Sigma from Drexel University.
