Philadelphia Zoo
Rebecca Ferber is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in special education and conservation education. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Excel Academy North since October 2023 and as a Conservation Education Interpreter at Philadelphia Zoo since April 2023, Rebecca has prior experience with Lower Merion School District as Educational Support Staff and Cheerleading Head Coach. Previous roles include nannying with a focus on child development, working as an Assistant Educator at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, and completing an internship at The Fred Rogers Company. Academic qualifications include an ongoing Master of Education in Special Education and Secondary English from Chestnut Hill College and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh.
