Karyn Bradford Coleman is currently a Board Member at Philander Smith College. Previously, they served as the Chief of Staff for the Democratic Party of Arkansas from June 2017 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for managing communications, finance, data, compliance, and outreach staff expectations and daily work output. Karyn also developed and administered hiring and administrative policies and procedures, and implemented strategies and processes of the Chair and Party leadership effectively. Additionally, they built and nurtured close working relationships with elected officials, grassroots and national organizations and partners.

Before their role at the Democratic Party of Arkansas, Ms. Coleman was an Operations Specialist II at Pulaski County Special School District (PCSSD) from September 2011 to June 2017. In this role, they assisted in oversight of the district level maintenance department by participating in planning, evaluation, and implementation of services in compliance with school board policy. Some of their duties included assisting in developing and monitoring budget allocations, management of workforce, workers compensation claims coordinator, payroll reporting and hazordous materials documentation.

Prior to their role as Operations Specialist II, Ms. Coleman served as Registration Liaison at Pulaski County Special School District from October 2010 to December 2011.

Karyn Bradford Coleman has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Philander Smith College in Organizational Leadership. Karyn also holds a degree in Accounting from Hendrix College. Karyn is certified as a Public Manager from the Arkansas Public Administration Consortium and as a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
