Ellen Brinich has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 as a Residential Coordinator/Lecturer at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. In 2013, they were a Marketing Manager at the Batavia Artists Association at Water Street Studios. From 2014 to 2015, they worked at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago as a Gallery Director of SITE Galleries (Student Union Galleries) and a Graduate Assistant in Arts Administration and Policy. During this time, they also worked as an Interpretive Practices Intern at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. In 2016, they were a Consultant at the Straus Art Group. Finally, since 2018, they have been working at the Philbrook Museum of Art, where they have held the roles of Chief Registrar, Project Manager of Audience Engagement and Curatorial Affairs, and Exhibitions and Collections Coordinator.
Ellen Brinich attended Kent State University from 2008 to 2012, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Photo Illustration. Ellen then attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2014 to 2016, earning an MA in Arts Administration and Policy.
