Jessica Upson

Director of Guest Operations at Philbrook Museum of Art

Jessica Upson has a diverse work experience spanning from 2007 to the present. In 2007, they worked as a Typesetter/Production/Design Assistant for Whitney English/Hicks Paper Goods. From 2008 to 2011, they were an Account Sales Representative for Hard Edge Design Inc. During this time, they recruited clients and managed client accounts, as well as providing top-of-the-line customer experience. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at the University of Oklahoma as a Public Relations & Event Coordination, collaborating with faculty, students, and artists to develop and coordinate events, exhibitions, and fundraisers. Since 2015, they have been working at the Philbrook Museum of Art, where they have held various roles, including Director of Guest Operations, Senior Manager of Guest Experience, Guest Experience Manager, and Guest Experience Supervisor. In these roles, they have led and overseen the Guest Operations Department, served as lead liaison with the Museum's third-party restaurant group, and managed organizational initiatives to guarantee the Museum is a safe, welcoming, accessible, and inclusive venue.

Jessica Upson attended the University of Oklahoma from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) with a major in Fine/Studio Arts and a minor in Art History.
